YOUR NEW COMPANY

Your new company is a voluntary organisation that has been dedicated
to supporting individuals with criminal convictions to integrate back
into the community in Ireland for over * years.
Their mission is to assist them in moving away from offending
behaviour and to promote community wellbeing by reducing offending. It
uses a strengths - based approach to create safer communities by
preventing further harm and to meet the diverse needs of individuals
with convictions. Your new company aims to proactively deliver a wide
range of targeted interventions through accommodation, education,
training, individual case management and therapeutic programmes to
meet the needs of each person availing their services. Your new
company has a vision to influence public perception of individuals
with convictions to promote social inclusion.

YOUR NEW ROLE

In your new role as an Accommodation Services Manager, you will be
responsible for overseeing individual risk assessments and liaising
with the Probation service for these. You will evaluate and implement
programme policies and procedures ensuring that models of best
practice are always in place. You will also provide individual
supervision for support staff and oversee the case work ensuring that
key working takes place weekly. You will develop a team training
calendar in line with the quality standards and policy coordinator. As
an accommodation services manager, you will also be responsible for
providing weekly written reports to the CEO and addressing any gaps in
services with solutions. You will attend the local homelessness forum,
seminars, conferences and meetings as requested.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

To be successful as an Accommodation Services Manager, you will have a
QQI level 8 qualification in Social Care or related field. You will
have 3 years of experience managing a team in a homeless service,
residential service, or similar setting; and experience working with
challenging clients. You should have good knowledge of legislation and
policy related to addiction and homelessness as well as the criminal
justice sector. You will possess the ability to demonstrate
leadership, decision – making and interpersonal skills. You will
also have an empathetic and positive attitude and the ability to work
with you own initiative. Conflict resolution skills and a good
understanding of homeless services and the harm reduction model would
make you a strong candidate. Excellent IT skills is also essential. A
full clean driver’s licence is desired.
